So simply, while it's a bit sad that the dude has to go through this it's also not unexpected putting into account the time period that the story is set in.

@Avy unexpected doesn't mean ok , during the time period, it was also ok to beat woman , or have slaves , would u be ok if someone start beating their slaves or raxping their maid , in the story???
