I think maybe there was a misunderstanding- he clearly was not in his right mind after whatever happened at his parents home and I think he started throwing up after seeing blood, maybe even got scared after realizing he hurt him, not because he felt disgusted. The issue was that he actually left or at least didn't explain later 

I think it was a traumatic experience for both of them, but obviously our MC suffered more and he didn't not deserve that
