I too am conflicted, but at the same time you have to be a pretty evil and vile person to ra** somebody, so an eye for an eye. 

That being said, Seme has just straight up strayed away from this being about revenge, and has became obsessed with him. I wouldn't say in love, but definitely possessive and a deep sense of ownership.
