@Voooo If you want recommendations on green flags I highly recommend Kiss Me If You Can. The ML seems like trash on first glance, but he actually isn't and sure asf isn't a rapist and the MC is freaking AMAZING! Also Approximal Guide is awesome if you like slowburns.
As for your rant, I 100000000% agree. I'm so fuc**** sick and tired of authors putting in ra** and then making up some cry baby sob story for the rapist and being all like "He has daddy/mommy/whatever issues!" Yaoi DOES NOT NEED RA** OR ANY FORM OF SEXUAL ASSAULT! I have to say sh** like this is one of the reasons why I'm writing a bunch of fanfiction. Some these writers just straight up fuc**** suck and can't come up with anything new and use ra** to create plot when there's a million other ways to do it.
