@Somebody I'm not sure if I can explain properly but I'll try. So what I understood from it is that Liliana was trapped in that tower along with Rebecca who treated her like her younger sister and Edgar would go to meet Liliana regularly and he even brought her that jade comb. One day Francois lost his mind maybe because the demon took complete control of him and tried to attack Liliana but liliana used her powers and tried to escape from the tower and Edgar helped her in that and brought her to his residence. There liliana got to know it was Rebecca who caused all this. He later helped her to escape with her sisters back to her own country. Liliana aks him about why he is being so kind to her because when edgar first met her, he was very angry over leopold's suicide but before he could tell her some people trying to find them appeared and the sisters had to make a run for it. But while the sisters were on the boat Francois that was being controlled by the demon, appeared again. When his mind became a little cleare, He asked for help, probably because he didn't want to kill liliana, but the demon took control again. Liliana's sister asked her to run away. But after reaching the deck, Francois appeared again. Liliana poured all of her power to defeat Francois which maybe caused her body to fall apart, as we can see all that bleeding and she fell in the sea where she was trying to grab that jade comb that fell but saw that she was turning into ash. All of this is liliana's past life. Which she remembered after visiting the tower. And maybe she got the fever because of it and thinks that all of that was just some dream.
