Fr , if this had the exact same plotline and characters . Just no flags and it didnt specify exactly where it's based you guys would have loved it . . . . The only reason you guys are angry is because it's based in America. trollface sticker

@Bjj_bunny i think ppl are angry because it’s insensitive and portrays obvious signs of slavery…

@Anonofurbusiness sure but no one complained about taming the tiger so it feels very hypocrite of them
@naaaranja ah yes cause every person in this manhwa’s comment section has read taming the tiger.

@Anonofurbusiness well it's a famous bl, I'm assuming that if someone is here it's because they know it's made by Jaxx, if you know jaxx's works you most likely know BWAT
@naaaranja valid assumption but you can’t assume that at least one of the people here didnt complain about it.

@Anonofurbusiness I've seen people complain about taming the tiger once and it wasn't even for the slavery dynamic, it just feels hypocrite the ton of hate that jaxx received I'm not saying it wasn't valid I'm saying that I've been here for a long time and I've never seen an author get this much backlash for something that was mostly an assumption (let's not lie here ofc there's a white savior complex but the slavery x master dynamic wasn't even comfirmed)

@Bjj_bunny idk why keep on saying it’s because it’s based in America💀 there’s a lot of them and people love them. People are just angry and displeased because it does depict a sensitive matter. Slavery is a genuine sensitive topic and a cause of distress and trauma for many people and i am glad that jaxx potrayed it as something bad because how it starts literally just shows that it will be a story that goes against it but that doesn’t excuse it’s sensitivity in any way.

@Rin  see u get it, I was getting excited because it was going to be representation
@naaaranja u right. But personally the way i’m viewing it is that JAXX is getting blacklash due to the historically accurate depiction of slavery. That for sure is not an assumption and people are valid for criticising that aspect.

@Anonofurbusiness yeah but it could have been a good representation, I don't know I'd rather read something that's potentially problematic than to miss out on one of the rare non-white representations in a bl (I'm not native american but I'm a north african indigenous person and I'm kinda sad because I could have projected myself into the story in a way )
