No this is a lie, these events are exaggerated because the best lie comes from the truth. MC treated the 2nd ML like that because he knew he had feelings for him, he appreciated the support however he was raised as the Kings cousin he has pride so he made it feel like he was doing the 2nd ML a favour versus the truth and then he would go out of his way to do nice things which made ML bitter
