In a story where the FL gets killed over an over, I rather she kills them all. No romance, just straight up murder them to feel sense of satisfaction. Why bother trying to tippy toe around? If not, run away, why even stick around? Authors LOVE giving so much power to the men of these romance novels but not to the FLs.
