Lol, I remember when I first started reading yaoi, I was ten years old, and I thought it was just another boring romance comic then I saw the dicks, I didn't like them so, I tried to read yuri and I loved It so after a year of just reading yuri I thought i might as well try and read yaoi and I slowly grew to love it. and now I'm 16 and still love yaoi and yuri.
