I could be wrong, but I think that Caryn and her mom both have some kind of curse that locks them in a time loop, unless they find "TRUE" love. I think Caryn's "TRUE" love is prolly the priesty boi.

@Marzapan what your saying is what the previous chapter has already explained, thats why karen was envious of her mother, she was able to die even when she also had the same curse
