see I've got theory of my own...it might not be true but this theory has been on my mind for a while now...what if all these npc players were once human being and what if they have lost their memories because they have cleared the ending. As we saw in the first few chapters of season 1 , when doha had asked bada about his human life, he told him that he doesn't remember much about it. Hence , if bada clears the ending he will eventually become a npc too and lose his memories too but as you can see doha is trying his best to hide the clues and everything and he can even kill the killer , which gives us a clue that he knows something about this and he is something way beyong a npc. What if doha is doing so to keep bada's memories because he have developed feelings for bada ( doha loves bada as helll!! :| ), what if he doesn't want bada to forget about him anymore. What if he was just acting as a npc at the first 50 times of game because he didn't care about bada at that time but eventually developed interest in him after the confession and ofc the torture mission. See we all know this game was a flop , What if it was flop because it had no players at that time and all these npc's were the few human beings which actually played this game and got stuck in it one by one and became the players( except for doha because he doesn't seem like a npc)

@izumi see I agree with you on this. Doha is sus af l feel like he could be the mc of the game coz his psychopathic tendencies. You're theory about Bada and the others being human stuck in the game makes a lot of sense. But it could also apply to anyone and vice versa. I had a theory when this manwha was 10 chapters long but I forgot as it was months ago now. Other than that I can't wait ngl
@Renren m not exactly saying that doha is the mc , but it could be possible bcz of his sus behaviour . Apart from that doha plays a key role in this series but so is the case with bada . He is really imp too so because of that we know that bada is an exception and he most probably will not turn into a npc ( bcz of doha messing up with the items ) if my theory turns out to be true. I still think that bada is the main character . Afterall both of them are male leads and they'll have to seek for each other at the end of the day so hmmm . M dying to read the next chapter too :( .
@izumi I remember Doha didn't know that Bada had tried the noodles he made in past rounds and was jealous that another Doha got to feed him. Also him being shocked and stopping the car abruptly when the game restarted for him for the first time. I would be surprised if he had just pretended to be an NPC at the first 50 times of game because he really was shocked. Unless he's the greatest actor of all times, but it seems unnecesary to go that far. Maybe he is a person and regained his memories of his real life when he saved the game for the first time?
