@Eggeutareuteu exactly if he were a bad selfish guy he wouldn't definitely have done that .  If the child was a dominant alpha or omega I would think that there was bad motive but as he was a beta he had nothing to gain as personal profit.  It was clearly from love and responsibilities which grew up in the process of time for his existing kid .
