@Bl glazer he wasn't trying to kill his brother, he merely blackmailed them for business reason. He wasnt trying to kill anyone. It was Gren that killed his own squad.  Plus if Shin left Jake, he's probably putting Gren in more danger.  So to keep Gren safe, he needs to keep jake close.  More like keep your friends close, keep your enemies  a little closer.
