Comment on ChapterSPY x FAMILY - Chapter 107
I honestly hate characters like Damien. Whether a child character, teen or adult, it's disgusting to bully someone that you have a crush on. Especially because he also wants to look "tough" to his "henchlings" as Anya calls them. It's so weak, and before anyone mentions that he "doesn't know how to express himself bc of his family situation" and blah blah blah, Anya is younger than him, grew up in lab, and doesn't even have a family. In addition to being returned multiple times and being to multiple orphanages...Yet, Anya knows better than him about being nice to people that you like (like the friendship between her and Becky). I'm glad that she hates him. You shouldn't like someone that bullies you.

Also, before anyone says that Anya has a family now, she still doesn't. Due to being abandoned multiple times, she's forced to try and make friends with her bully or she's afraid that she'll get returned again. Even if she was best friends with Damien, she's not free to relax because she knows that being a family has a time limit. Anya actually has to handle a lot.

it's unfortunately normal for kids and more often teens. But at least Anya didn't just take it, she clocked him good (and it made him respect her even though he can't bring himself to acknowledge it publicly)
@hmm Being "normal" doesn't make it acceptable. Children, especially male children are not socialized properly. That problem shouldn't be dismissed by simply saying, "it's normal".

Also, that's my point. Anya can't really "clock" him because her position and Loid's expectations of her forces her to be limited in how she responses to Damien's bullying.

If Damien truly respected her, he wouldn't treat her like that in the first place. Like I said, he bullies her to make himself seem "tough" to others.

Also, this is not the real world, the author could've written anything they wanted, yet they still choose to write this toxic mess, and people eat it up as "cute".
@R i do understand ur point but u also have to consider that Damien is just 6 years old with no proper parental guidance. he's trying to navigate new feelings that he hasn't encountered before. I mean, his family barely talks to each other and he really has no one to talk about these feelings with.
@R they are childrens 6 years of age and from prestigeous families which are like nobility in oastania and you expect them to distinguish right from wrong? if so then your expectations are way off. when we were their age we werent able to distinguish paternal from matrenal.
