@Squirrel yep in reality Ferances life is a tragedy since he was young and considering this he is quite strong because he has always been used by someone, it would be even reasonable that he had anxiety issues or depression because he has never been shown true love, unless the ML finds a way to redeem himself because the argument seems like he is being arrogant or still does not want to admit that he does love Ferance which is also a very usula trope in BL one of them does not want to admit their real feelings,,,
