Y'all are wild for hating her; she's been abused and conditioned since childhood to be mocked by every person ever, her 'family' and society. Literally the only decent person (so far) is her sister (thank g** for not making an evil sister) and the maid. The fact that she's not holed up inside and is able to brush it all off is insanely strong of her. Most of the strong fl's are either people who were rewound time or isekai'd in or have other options. Y'all think her family would let her leave (with what money)? Or allow her to get a job? And yeah it might be a bit weak, but the prince started off by saving her in public, it's not her fault to cling to the hope he'll do it again, even if he's a pathetic piece of sh**? Can she break off the engagement? Obviously not, this ain't the 21st century, she's going to have to follow through unless she's got powerful enough backing to stand up to the imperial family, which isn't her own family so she's stuck. Smh, the callous judgment is insane.
