Ngl I hate this weird romance plot, bro is fighting a war and is in a near constant state of life and death and due to that has basically has forgotten these two's existence, and all we constantly get from them is this "when I confess" bullshit, like I get they are young teens but da** go to college or some sh** instead of joining a military force if you want to do this sh**, you're going to get people killed if you're this distracted. They've also set up so many hamstrings on the hidden Leaf and how it operates that most the top brass should probably just join boruto and Kashin despite the inversion, because the trees are going to stomp them at this rate and if the land of fire is basically leaning towards getting rid of Shinobi villages anyway their reaction times to support will probably have you all killed.

@Volkien being a hormonal teenager and a shinobi aren't mutually exclusive. Though I do agree that it is given a tad too much intention when we're slowly getting into the thick of it. They're dealing with a pseudo alien invasion, the actual end of the shinobi world as it used to be now that Naruto brought peace to the world, litteral demi-gods walking around and most of them are essentially teens... Though it is important to showcase their more realistic aspects (teen crushes and first loves, friendships and drama) and while they do tie them up with the more pressing matters (Sarada and class monitor being girl friends with Eida as a way to control and placate her for example) it feels like a waste of time when the most exciting bits are seemingly cut short to make space for them. It's frustrating. Especially since we get one of those a month.
