@Lily basically, this has all happened before, this is the before, when they first met and got married, notice how there was no engagement party, just straight marriage, the part we had read when they were happy in the beginning, was after, a second life, I wont spoil or anything, I'm just here to explain, but something happened in this life and in the happy one kwon is trying to make up for his wrong doings and how he had treated him in this bad life, he fell for him even though he did treat him this way which is why he's trying so hard in the next life to treat sejin better, and I think the reason why he wanted to not get married to sejin was because he either was hoping sejin would remember his past life with him, or that the thing that happened in the past life would not happen and maybe things would be different,  but it so happens that sejin did start remembering his past life, which is what we're reading now, his memories of it.
