@Howling wolf He regressed because she murdered him just to get his "eyes of judgment" a kind of divine artifact just so she could give it to the guy she likes. From the moment the MC in his previous life obtained those "eyes of judgment" he was technically the inheritor of a G**'s power so her coveting that power he obtained and killing him to try and steal it from him basically marked her as a sinner from that moment onward
