I know this is lame and seems stupid but I'm gonna say it. He wanted to kill her so bad and he was able to hit her in an instant but wtf he did it with his hands? If he used his sword he could at least take a limb that will make her at disadvantage or even cut her neck directly. Tf is wrong with this murim guys? They're eager to kill someone they have a grudge with that they could die when they won't be able to do it but when the opportunity comes they'll make a very stupid move, do a talk-no-jutsu, get beaten up and wait for the plot armor then win.
