They get married he seems to just do it for the sake of order from the king. They go through a lot it seems like he puts up with her and tries to get along. But from the way he does it and how she views it as duty not own want. I feel he is very accommodating to fl more like he has to be... however she gave birth to a still born (i hate author for that as if she didn't go through enough (basically nearly dies and her leg is crippled and deformed so king tells varkas to marry fl instead as he failed to protect his children mainly her mother planned it, but he chose to leave fl behind to protect ayla who was his Fiancée at the time so idk if to blame him or not)) he leaves after she miscarried she asked to be away from him so he did. He returns she is raising a demonic beast a big wolf basically he starts initiating kisses etc. (She used to coerce him into intimacy as her mother manipulated her to like she should do her job as wife hence she was pregnant etc). She dies cos plot... he goes practically full 180 no eating fighting back with the siblings that he was ordered by former empress to protect... even shuts down ayla offer of marriage saying I never thought of u once since I got marriedfl... and imagines fl and him together with a kid he has dream like states... he gets eaten by the wolf and cos its fictional and his tribe has powers of mind telepathy I think he is now in khan consciousness on the day thalia saved khan from being killed and decided to raise him... idk if its back in time or he is near death and going through khans memories. Basically I'm tryna say he just seems so unexpected but ig he is suppressing his emotions so it seems that way. And he is a man of duty hence ayla came first when they were engaged until he got married to fl and it was just fl i suppose
