For the people wondering why Grayson is like this:
In his novel, 'desire me if you can' it's explained he behaves this way bc of a lack of emotions, the doctors don't know if he doesn't feel any or just can't understand them which is why he lacks so much empathy towards other (and himself too)
He does crazy thing bc in his mind it's helping them, like locking chase in a closet to get rid of his fear of the dark or feeding his father, Koi, a cake with detergent in it and almost killing him bc he wanted to know if his dad truly didn't have much of a sense of taste
Their other father, Ashley miller, used to lock Grayson in a basement until he learned what he did wrong or hit him as part of discipline though Grayson never truly understood what was wrong with his actions. He just learns patterns and answers accordingly. Like if a situation requires him to smile, he will, if he needs to look hurt, he will, if he has to speak a certain way, he does. That's kinda his whole thing. And sometimes he just says things to annoy the other person
He's still an a******, don't get me wrong, but at least he's not an a****** just for the sake of being one
