Awww poor man. Someone tell him that the dimwitted oblivious one is the FL. He loved her just as much as he loves her now and she couldn't see it just as much as she can't see it now.
The main issue is the FL, well.... she suffers from FLitis, which is a disease all FLs have. It doesn't affect in anything but their ability to see the MLs true feelings.
He can help her, buy her everything, take her everywhere, blush when he sees her, love her, tell her 50 times that he loves her, give his life for her, propose, have kids with her, basically live for her and the FL will FUÇKING ALWAYS think.... don't misunderstand... he is just a nice person.
But... another secondary effect of FLitis is if she sees the ML talking to another woman, and he says thank you or fúck.... dares to smile... the FL will think she should leave and disappear so he can be with the woman he obviously loves
