@Xinxy a bl story that depicts such an unusual situation of a slave nd slavemaster falling in love?? ur comment is literally so tonedeaf, free or not its a weird concept to right about???? like another comment said, suffrage of minorities shoudnt become a plotpoint for a love story— would u support and read a story about the holocaust in this nature?? u literally wouldnt so dont be tryna come at me with ur dumbass logic u sound stupid
@Xinxy It is incredibly ignorant and disrespectful of you to say "it's a bl story" like it's an excuse to write about whatever you want. Stories, usually, have depictions of REAL human beings. Not BASED on human beings, but involves them. Romanticizing any sort of relationship with a slave is not okay because these were REAL people who went through very real experiences. And the fact that this author has chosen THIS specific time period as a setting in a, presumably romantic story, one so harmful in US history is disrespectful in of itself. And it's important that we readers acknowledge this and we firmly stand against stories like this so that it doesn't happen again.
I haven't had the pleasure of reading other works from this author, I'm sure they have amazing work, but this is not one of them no matter how you look at it.
I don't want you to think that I'm calling you a bad person for being ignorant. But i WILL call you a bad person if you willingly choose to ignore this authors problematic choice of setting and sit there defending it.
@Xinxy butch gtfo you're acting dumb on purpose, if black people and native people tell you that it's insensitive to write a romance about a slave owner and a native american during the civial War Time WHO are YOU tell us how we should feel ?????? We don't have to read 50 chap of this c*p to know that it's going to bad, the fact that the author can't bother to draw the black ppl faces or that the 2nd mc call himself a slave is VERY TELLING. Stop defending this BULLSHIT and EDUCATE YOURSELF
