@honestly simping About that, can't we pass it off as a misunderstanding? So far in the plot, he is the least destructive,obsessed, and he's shippable with Penelope... just ignore his weird and crazy personality...

And it was Pene who went to find him first.. The Prince was on guard that time vs assassins. He thought Pene was one of those ppl who got ulterior motives.
If he was that bad...Pene could have died that night... He still able to stop his blade from cutting her neck.
