I think maybe you need to clarify more of what type of story & the main point/plot of it is. Because I'm struggling a bit to understand the "purpose" you are trying to convey. Why is Mee Young attacking the MC, & the ML? Also I would suggest throughly researching on Schizophrenic Disorders and the spectrum of those. Maybe moving the age of the characters to more college age because I'm pretty sure unless it's like an extreme case, a majority of Dr's. Won't officially diagnose someone as being on the Schizophrenic spectrum until at the earliest 18, but I think many still wait until the pt is at least 25-30 because that's when your brain has finished fully developing & Because there are so many other disorders that can present similar symptoms they have to be sure. The treatment for that can be very very expensive, & intense for the pt. So if they try to treat someone for that & that's not what they actually have it can really mess a person up even more. I think wanting to write about mental health is great & can help break down the misconceptions about it. I just think it's important to make sure you're as informed as you can be so you don't unintentionally add to dangerous stereotypes or misinformation. & I think being able to properly communicate that will help connect readers to your characters and make them genuinely relatable.
