some kind of Isekai probably. 

so with the world building, infinite number of worlds exist in a system where human growth is countered by a force of nature that takes different forms in a each world, so basically the more advanced humanity is the stronger the force of nature 

MC originates from a world in which humanity lost, the MC was one of its frontliners that tried to fight for humans. after realizing that humanity got wiped out, she wakes up in the world of a novel that was gifted to her by one of her comrades, a bestfriend, I suppose (she read it 40+ times since it was one of the only source of entertainment in an apocalyptic setting). the friend gifted the novel to her because in that novel, a character that have the same looks and name with the mc exists.

the novel is actually a physical manifestation of another world that her friend found, the friend gifted it to the mc because the mc's other self (?) in that world lived a happy life. the friend wanted the mc to live that life, in case humanity lost so the friend used their powers to make it possible. but this is kept hidden to the MC though

desmort- ohhhh i love the storyline... It has simple isekai theme with underlying well made world building. Would love to read it if it is more darker and gothic...it would feel well fitting with this story...
