Now imagine this.

All these tiny misunderstandings end up piling one day and Ooyama breaks down since now even at this point is he getting the idea that this girl might be into him.
Enter best girl, could be one of Akutsu's friends that we already know or someone from school.
She picks up the pieces, Ooyama gets a tiny bit of confidence even though he's thinking about Akutsu.
Time passes and he realizes this girl is for real and cares for him big time, meanwhile Akutsu goes through whatever phases and maybe gets courage to get on the offensive.
Akutsu tries but seems to fail and constantly gets mad as Ooyama feels bad and talks her down, telling her that he's always going to be there for her as he's been since chapter one SINCE from he's perspective that's as a supportive FRIEND and nothing more.

Adding the final nail he confeses that he used to be head over heels about her but always thought he was never good enough but now he has someone who will accept him as he is and encourages everything and wishes the same for her, highlighting that he feels bad for ever been able to do that for her..a bittersweet moment.
Baaaam booom, I just added some real romance with actual impact, way better than another 100 chapters of Ooyama thinking just a bottom of the barrel random dude.

I really hope thats not what will happen , if thats the ending then i'll hunt both you and the author down. Just hope that's not the plot if you still wanna live.

This is the kind of plot if Akutsu were actually a bi***. She clearly likes him and he likes her they haven't messed up their relationship at all it is just a slow romance with fluffy moments. If she were actively hurting him or talking to some other guy or even just ignoring him then the development described would work. I am all for stories where the MC finds a better girl than the one he initially simped for however that is not what is going on. This was two people who were different from one another coming to like each other by spending time together and appreciating each other's company.

@BigPancakes No, go and post your dumb imagination somewhere else you clown.
