Is it really like that in Korea ??? I mean I'm French and if a media started talking about a love story, one nobody wouldn't care and two the media in question would be mocked for having given mediocre information but in addition would be boycott for intruding on people's privacy

I'm not educated in Korean culture but maybe they have different thinking then other countries ig? Like back in the day when royalty could only marry others with high status? But then again not so sure so yeah....

Of course we are talking about Webtoons so everything is more exaggerated, but I believe that in the case of Korea, the Chaebol heirs of large conglomerates are responsible for a large part of the influence on the country's economy, so there is a certain concern in maintaining the "appearances" and also many marriages are practically business mergers.
But in real life we can see the examples of Princess Diana who generated a lot of controversy in the 90's and now her son, Prince Harry, who gave up the throne as well.
