for anyone who's confused, jizo statues (the statue we see in the last panel where the gloves are) are protectors of travellers and children who pass away before their parents. this jizo statue is the pile of snow we see on page 73, that eventually has snow fall over in the same page. usually jizo statues shouldn't be covered, so i'm guessing the snow made jizo-san and all the kids they're protecting cold. or, the child passed away due to hypothermia (rapid loss of body heat) and is roaming the area because they're still looking for warmth. they probably clung onto ryuu since he's also like jizo-san, who protects babies (he is 90% of the time surrounded by babies, if not always with kotarou).
by giving the baby warmth through the gloves, ryuu gave them the warmth they've wanted all along, so now their spirit is free and they don't need the gloves anymore. ryuu hoping the child goes to a warm place is him wishing them well as they journey into the afterlife. little baby left the gloves with jizo-san should any other wandering spirits need it.
