@Not your woman sorry i haven't finished the novel yet.... All i can say is

At some point MC become like a wandering homeless guy traveling to 2nd ML home country without telling his adoptive family, to avoid the ML and i guess just so he can find peace before death.
MC did die because of his illness but ML and the brother of the blonde male s** slave somehow managed to preserve his body that allow him to be revive if they managed find the right medicine for him.
Time pass ML mellow out a bit, regretting his past actions and actually become a somewhat good leader for his country.
He couldn't find the medicine to cure MC of his illness and potentially revive him but he didn't know that the 2nd ML already found it and revive MC but it wasn't perfect.
Because of his past suffering MC's mind reverted to that of a child, he also retain his injuries. So basically he is slightly retarded, visually impaired and has a crippled hand...
That's all I know......
