@rottn.gal I did not read the novel but in previous chapters it said for a dragon to have a mate which would be our mc and the ml the mate will have to be eaten by the dragon for a bond to form ( from my understanding) so in theory theu do all these rituals and stuff to keep our mc from being depressed because if he becomes too depressed he will vanish that is why they do a ritual to make him forget his memory and to answer your question am pretty sure he does mean our mc as the dish he found so delicious
