I would literally rather be crying, throwing up and sliding down the wall as long the characters get an honest or a healthy ending.
I think to me that's the most important thing. That the writer can be brave and bold and treat their work like art, not just entertainment. That they can trust in the audience to love them even if they break our hearts.
Like in (under the green light) in the scene where the writer says, "in the end, he never came". That scene made me depressed for a fvcking week. Or in (lover boy) the scene where the ml says " I tried to get rid of the things that reminded me of you and when I was done, I wasn't left with much at all". 😣😭💔
But I wasn't mad at the writer I respwcted them for being honest to the characters.
