@onini_gorisen I'm not trying to be rude, but this is indeed a romance, especially in part 2: Nameless Star. By the end of part 1 of the novel, they start dating, though they still argue, and are still not as in love and understanding of each other. It will develop more in the future, over the course of 4 years (I think) of their relationship that we are shown.
2. The grape scene, despite being hard to watch, was quite necessary because:
1. That is the punishment Taekjoo earned through his actions. Let's not pamper him.
2. It's the most mercy Zhenya has ever shown his enemies.
3. It plays a huge role in Zhenya's redemption, thankfully. He is not ignorant of his past actions.
So, in my opinion, this manhwa is not wasted. It's got well-written characters, a well-developed plot, and actually makes you tweak out because both the MC are not saints but have their reasons for what they did which makes them way more realistic. Codename: Anastasia or CNA IS a BL. It's a BL novel. Boyseason, the original author, wrote it as one. It's not wrong to read a Bl as a BL. It's just so good that you don't need just the BL to carry the whole manhwa.
