Something the Heavenly demon said has always been really poignant to me. It is because we as people create boundaries around our beliefs that we create good and evil. In Taoism, everything stems from the great void. Things are big, because we compare them to things we believe to be small. When you look at two different sized pencils you could say that one is bigger, but that's because we created that label on it. When we look at it without bias we see it as just that, a pencil. Then if we look at it through the lense of the world it isn't a pencil anymore, it is just a part of a whole. The resources used to make it all stem from the same source, and that source is unending, and never beginning.
