Huh... given the cover art I was expecting a bit more of a psychotic and bleak declaration - not that there isn't a certain kind of Darkness to someone declaring they'll throw away every part of themselves that doesn't help them become the perfect "Hero".
I'm really hoping this doesn't turn into any sort of harem nonsense, because that would really cheapen the premise of Luke being nothing but a mask.
If any harem shenanigans happen, let's hope it's purely for the angst of those who fall for him and slowly realising he doesn't have feelings for anything except for a dead girl and fulfilling his Heroic duty as a character.
Also... they usually don't put a dead person on the cover of a story, at least not if they're not staying dead, so here's to the hope of her either continuing to haunt our MC (in a mental way not literal spirit haunting) or her resurrection becoming relevant later.
Real potential, let's hope they can land it.
