The beating scene here didn't do the novel justice - Kalian was really scary honestly the way he beat Gray for an hour using a club made of aura makes me wonder how Bern the knight usually punished his enemies he was brutal I admit it was satisfying but it was still a bit scary since it's the first time seeing him beat someone into submission then he ended the beating with breaking Gray's spine - Kyrie who accompanied him was pale after what he saw I'm just glad he sent Ian Arsne Rachel Veronica & Hina first cause he didn't want them to see him acting as Bern just Imagine if the baby elephant saw his flower like prince he'd faint - then when Kalian returned to the palace Allan & Rmain were waiting outside for him so when Kalian saw them he jumped off Raven and nestled in Allan's embrace and Allan was like my lovely disciple who just broke someone's back is finally back( I'm so proud of you - and the king was just standing there looking at his son tightly embracing his master - and Allan gave Rmain a smug look
