Well, actually, not by ants, but the 2nd best schemer in the country. The ants just carried it out. Although not yet certain how much tricked and how much pretending to be tricked
that just mean hes still have some place to developed not a wholly perfected being, if you've read the novel you'll be annoyed on how many time he mades mistakes.
well for sure it's lame for an emperor to get into some trap but it's not his fault.....he is very sharp but in his previous life he mainly depend on his power and died by traitor.....if there are no mistakes then story will be too boring i'm telling
he died because he was naive.....a demonic cultivator being naive. As a cultivator, to reach the pinacle of cultivation , you walk on bodies and as a demonic cultivator, more so. As a reincarnation, you expect him to be evil, ruthless..more like an evil genius who torture his enemys and complete anihilates them..but... he is not.
