It kinda annoys me that they have no faith in her, I mean didn't she get them out of that crappy state they were in and found a reliable adult to watch over them not to mention all the curse stuff

@Rosy Renae they don't know about the curse stuff. For them she is a newbie magician and about the guardian issue she resolved does not justifies giving her funds for a project of this huge scale. For them a wrong agreement can lead to a much worse state.
