Mc said that he suspects some NPC's he encountered while playing the game, to be actual players that were transported to the other world earlier..
We know that the rankings didn't change for 2 years before Mc appeared. We also know that Gracia was on the rankings..
That means Gracia was in the other world for at least 2 years. So while Mc was still sitting at home, controlling a game character, Gracia and 6 other players were already in the other world and participated in the boss raid..
Also, Mc mentioned in an earlier chapter that it sometimes seems like the NPC's (like named NPC's) are intentionally tracking you down to kill you.. That just sounds like players that got transported to the other world far earlier and killed everyone that still played the game, to either get them transported over as well, or to get them transported over while they are still weaker than them..
