Ok the blonde guy that was after him from the start was sent to Erica right before he could ruin things between them/fu** up MC so he hired the loansharks to kill MC's dad and lie about a huge debt knowing MC would freak out and end things with ML out of shame over the debt and the imbalance between them.. it's so fuc*** up and it takes a LONG time for the truth to come about but the last chapter released... Trust me it's worth the slog of reading the dark stuff
