Guys i think when they say "brother" they dont mean blood related brother (from what i remember theyre not biologically related, unless theyre 2nd or 3rd cousin, its not confirmed) so the use of the word "brother" here is like honorifics or titles, since back then ppl(mostly men) who are very close would call each other brother
