I'm starting to think that nergal isn't keeping Leon as someone to breed, but because he likes him. Nergal would've agreed to have Leon be killed if he didn't feel some attachment to him. So nergal loves Leon and while the orhers are becoming attracted to him. This chapter and the previous 2-3 chapter shows it.
