@Wiktoria read the first few panels of chapter 1 that the Mc in current situation and right after that is the Mc recalling the past and how it went down to their current situation.   In simple : right now what we are reading is the past after they met and the event that lead to their current situation. <img src="https://rx.rzyn.net/stickers/pepe/8.webp" class="sticker" alt="pepe sticker" loading="lazy" /> (Hope this help)
