Comment on ChapterThere Are No Bad Heroes In This World - Chapter 26
This is su*cidal. The fat one was far stronger than MC and probably spent years mastering it, and he still died moments after promoting to fallen flowers. MC skipped straight to level three and then used combat arts even though he probably could've won with level one promote and combat arts.

@RecklessSavage i agree, it is so obvious that the mc will win the fight and survive.
@Nelson Mandela ah yes because doing nothing is a way better option
What else did you want him to do?
The two choices were
A. Don't use promote and die because you aren't strong enough
B. Use promote, potentially die and even if you do die at least you take your opponent with you
@RecklessSavage how about you use your brain for two seconds. Why go to the second level that you know that isn't strong enough, you're just wasting energy which you would need in order to even get to the thrid level.

We even see that the thrid level wasn't even enough hence why the MC needs to apply martial arts.
If the thrid level plus martial arts is barely enough then this just proves that the second level and martial arts would have been ineffective
@Tired27 Combat arts are at least ten times strong than basic attacks, so a basic attack + fallen flowers < combat arts + full bloom. MC was winning, but he was going to run out of stamina before he won, which wouldn't have been a problem if he just used a lower level of promote. Also, without plot armour, MC would've insteadly bled out of all his orifices and died in seconds, which is guaranteed failure. At least not using promote or using a lower level of promote he could've bought time for the fire to go out and reinforcements to arrive.
@Nelson Mandela MC was not winning...
That was the whole reason he used promote in the first place.
10x stronger???
Where are you getting this information?
He ran out of stamina? No he didn't. He went for an attack and it wasn't effective. It's not a stamina issue but a strength issue.

Bought time?
Ahaha
What do you think the barrier is for? To prevent reinforcement from arriving

If he didn't use promote level 4 he would have just lost and died because he's not strong enough without it
@Tired27

MC was winning after using promote, hence the time limit.

10x is an arbitrary number, but the difference is quite exaggerated. Without combat arts, MC's punches are normal. With them, the force is increased so much they create an explosion. No explosion -> to explosion seems like more than just a simple increase of 1.5 or 2x. 5x might be more grounded seeing as MC could put up a fight against the fat one who was roughly 4 to 5x stronger using combat arts (he couldn't win, but the fact that he didn't instantly lose is already impressive and shows they must've been relatively close in strength).

Like I said, I was referring to MC winning with promote level 3 but being unable to maintain that strength. Hence why I suggested using combat arts with a lower level of promote.

The barrier is obviously not permanent. Even if it was, buying time for Reidrunn (who could almost certainly blow it away) to finish up his fight and come help would be enough.

Falling flowers is level 3, and there is not a known level 4.
@Nelson Mandela how about you actually look at this chapter.
There was no explosion with his punch, his first punch using explosion destructive wave, despite having explosion in the name nothing exploded and against the enemy it did no damage and only pushed him away.

And 10x you just made the fu** up so how about you use actual facts from the manga rather than your own head cannon.

Using promote level 3 the MC can't maintain for very long but it's the same for promote level 1 and 2.
Promote uses demonic qi which is harmful to humans in this universe so no matter what level he uses, promote puts him on a time limit. All you have to do is read the previous chapter, bro was writhing in pain just by using the demonic qi from promote level 1 and would have died if the priestess never used divine power to allow his body to accept it.

Using a lower level promote still activates the demonic qi which is what puts him on a time limit so he can't stall and he still wouldn't be strong enough to stall.
Promote level 3 without combat arts did essentially no damage which would indicate a lower level promote with combat arts wouldn't be effective either.

Yeah the barrier isn't permanent but what would last longer, the Barrier or the MC?
Reidruun is being stalled by the blonde knight, gluttony has left for a while and the Dark Elf can't break the barrier so they're not going to arrive to help any time soon.

Plus the whole goal isn't to kill the MC but the priestess. Can he defend himself while defending the priestess long enough against a much stronger opponent without promote level 3? Highly unlikely.

The MC decided to go full power in order to end the fight quickly as that gives him the best chances of victory as the main goal is to protect the priestess.
@Tired27

When MC uses combat arts, there is an explosion of mana (see chapter 23 for a visual). No, I'm not saying it makes things explode.

I love arguing with people who don't read my comments.

You: "And 10x you just made the fu** up so how about you use actual facts from the manga rather than your own head cannon."
Me in the comment you just replied to: "10x is an arbitrary number."
Arbitrary means I made it up. I then go on to say 4 to 5x would be more accurate based on actual numbers from the manhwa.

All the promotes are temporary. It has nothing to do with MC being weak to demonic energy (which may not be true anymore after his training). That's just how promote works. Again, see chapter 23. The fat one gets pooped even faster than MC, and MC only got one punch in before he was ready to drop, but it clearly dealt significant damage since the guy was too stunned to even counter. The higher the level of promote, the less time they have.

It's unknown what would last longer. That's the whole point. Promote level 3 would be guaranteed death if MC was not MC. Absolute, 100% guaranteed death with no guarantee he could even finish the enemy before he died. At least promote level 1 or 2 would give him enough strength to hold off the enemy without instantly dying, which is more hope than 0. The knight is stalling Reidrunn, but there's no way of knowing how long he can last.

It's very hard to get past someone in a fight. The instant you get past them, your back is turned and they can kill you before you can do anything. Not to mention, the saintess isn't completely defenceless. She can run and probably use her holy power to defend herself to some extent. Holding off for a few minutes is feasible.
