Theon liked her in her past life as well but she couldn't understand it and misunderstood theon's friendship with that other woman as theon loving her and theon didn't make it visibe that he loved her either. They just ended up going round and round with their feelings and the fl was obsessive and toxic in her 1st life so theon's love for her didn't last... or something like that. 😉 I'm sorry I'm not that great at explanations.

@Ren Xi Yao What have you been reading? It clearly stated he only got engaged to her so he could be closer to her brother, who had light spirits capable of calming down his darkness overload. He also knew fully well she was genuinely in love with her but still kept the act up. In the end, he even killed.himself cause he knew his death would cause her extreme emotional and mental suffering. The guy is no way evil but he is the main cause she turned out the way she did.
