Comment on ChapterSong of the Wasteland - Chapter 1

I think a lot of people are confusing portrayal with glorification.

The story is set in a difficult historical period, and naturally that means uncomfortable topics, power imbalances, and social attitudes from that era may appear in the narrative. Simply including those elements does not automatically mean the author supports or glorifies them.

From what we've seen so far, the story hasn't presented these issues as something admirable or romanticized. It feels more like the author chose a specific time period and is trying to build a detailed world around it. The attention to historical details, culture, environment, and setting is actually one of the things I appreciate about the story.

It's also worth remembering that only one chapter has been released. We don't yet know the full direction of the plot, the characters' development, or the themes the author intends to explore. Judging an entire story based on a single chapter can lead to assumptions that may not reflect the author's actual intentions.

People are free to dislike the story, but criticism should be based on what is actually shown in the work rather than on conclusions drawn before the story has had a chance to develop.

@I LOVE FEMBOYS no, the depiction of slavery here isn't realistic the slightest. Big paragraphs of bullshit don't make you smart. Native Americans were tortured, beaten, raped, skinned alive, burnt alive, wiped out, massacred but you know what sure as h*l wasn't there? A white savior freeing the poor natives from their misery or the absolute audacity to demonstrate a native calling himself a slave. Uneducated f*k you are
@I LOVE FEMBOYS the direction was going the wrong way with the native American man shown to be submitting to the white man in the time period. The people were treated so harshly that their populations aren't even 5% of the country.
@s3lbstm0rd Wow son rather than insulting me try to be civilized and EDUCATED yourself. I can have arguments with you without being disrespectful towards you
@I LOVE FEMBOYS what about their comment struck you as uneducated? They clearly show they know the effects of the white man and native Americans and you needed someone else to explain how horrible it is repeatedly.
@Mizispink_strapon if you are blind or some when you "Uneducated f*k you are" ig someone ghost wrote that
@I LOVE FEMBOYS you called them uneducated. Them being more aggressive or straightforward in their response to your repeated and active ignorance doesn't equate being ignorant.
@Mizispink_strapon where the h*l i called her uneducated first she wrote bad things about me and after that I told her to be civilized and respectful towards others
