@Mrs.kang it's true that he wasn't at fault but given his powers and influence, he should have given more thought about his missing memories. I mean he was away for a whole year, so obviously he must have stayed somewhere, there must have been people around him who helped him, took care of him when he was wounded and woke up with no memory and throughout his stay. But it felt like the moment he regained his memories and forgot the period in-between, he just stood up and went about his daily life, not giving a single fùck about the people who must have been with him. And that is why Camilla is like that with him. Coz had he seriously wanted to, he would have found her. Additionally, when she was staying at his place it wasn't like he was showing any affectionate behavior towards her or claiming her as his in front of her like he is doing now.

@Yonko4ever  I 100% agree with you on the part that how come he didn't try to find out what actually happened during his 1 year lost memory cause yeah of course he stayed with someone cause he can't be staying in the wild for a whole year with 0 human interaction- His duchess actually knew that he was with a woman because Camilla's mother changed him a bit and as a woman she felt betrayed so she decided to keep quiet that's why when she gave the vault key to Camilla she apologized cause if she confronted him about having another woman then Escra will definitely look into it and then he'll know that the woman gave birth to a child with red eyes so the duchess blamed herself for not saying anything

And this guy is just the typical northern duke who's emotionally constipated he just thinks differently- he CARES a lot about her like when she became sick he hired dozens of healers and was breathing down on their necks for them heal her and the reason why he wasn't showing his affection when asked about it by count Alton Escra said he KNOWS she's uncomfortable around him that's why he's giving her space and that she warms up to him on her own pace - the reason why he declared to everyone that she's his daughter is because he got another report by count Alton about Camilla's whole life since childhood how she's unwanted ... etc. so he got so mad and packed his stuff but cout Alton stopped him and they only went to Fable empire to use the emperor's birthday as a reason NOW everyone knows that Camilla is of the Escra bloodline the true ruler of Garcian empire it's like his way of letting others know not to mess with her - the reason i like him is because he never once not blamed himself he's aware that he's the reason why his daughter lived the kind of life she did having to watch her every move in another's house when He her biological father is alive and breathing but as you said due to his indifferent behavior not searching for his memories he wasted 17. Also Duke Escra's way of showing his affection is by action not by words cause this guy is weird with words - like that part where she went to the bank to change the ownership of the vault - it wasn't shown here- but when she went to the bank duke Escra & Alton went with her cause the bank has top security like the staff are high ranking mages and sword masters and entering the password wrong even once will result in capture and imprisoned and she only told them that she saw the password in here dream - so she told him did he go with her because he didn't trust her but he said it's to protect her than he and alton plotted to take down the security if Camilla entered the wrong password- Idk it just feels nice when your father can't be touched in the whole empire 😂- but one thing is for sure yes i like him but he's also an a** like how he neglected Dive there isn't any excuse for not caring about his own blood like if Jaynor wasn't around Dive is his sole heir

@Mrs.kang seriously! Dive had to suffer so kuch while this stupid person turned a blind eye to the whole thing. Caring actions are fine but children want the affection to be displayed and spoken in front of them, especially smaller kids, they aren't mature enough to understand your actions and deduce that you are caring. Your comment about him being emotionally constìpated 100% accurate!!
