@Gazni It's the author not wanting Elymas living his own adventure without being on a leash.
@chaudcacao abricotananas to be fair that leash has so far been helpful for good storytelling so I kinda find it hard to blame the author for it
@Gazni sadly, their mission is to join the noble house. and not to explore the place... if they got separated on their own then they will fail the mission or even worse... kick out of the guild
