that expression gozu makes when he's looking down on the dude challenging him is so hot. he's so s/exy. can't deny all that but g**.....knowing his past, he must've been thinking abt how familiar the predicament is. how he's heard the same cruel, demeaning threats many times before from the same type of men. perhaps gozu built his tolerance for alcohol out of necessity, bc his chance of survival hinged on it. the men in his past couldn't harm him if they were too drunk to move. couldn't r/ape him if they had too much alcohol in their system to get it up. so gozu made sure to build his tolerance. hone his strength. he did things he regrets, i'm sure, but maybe he's also grateful that he's as strong as he is now. because it turns out, no matter which world u end up in, strength n power will always be the most valuable currency.
honestly y'all....i rly love how kaziwara-sensei sprinkles these details in. she's so good at giving us hints n crumbles for us to follow. every choice the characters make add to their characterization, and that simple scene helps us understand gozu's obsession w/ strength, whether he's attracted to it (see: evelogia) or he wants to wield it to the limit of his abilities. he needed to be strong to survive. that hurted so good wow kaziwara-sensei i'd like to thank u 4 my lyfe also i want ur brain pretty please🥺🥺
